Description

NA Synopsis: A firm fixed-price five-year requirements contract is anticipated for the following item: Improved Chemical Agent Monitor (ICAM), P/N: 5-15-17100; NSN: 6665-01-357-8502 The Improved Chemical Agent Monitor System consists of: Chemical Agent Monitor, 5-15-17042; Confidence Sample Assembly, 442-642; Nozzle Protective Cap Assembly, 442-674. The ICAM contains a radioactive source, 10 millicuries of Nickel-63. The radioactive material requires special licensing by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and is subject to tight regulation. To work with this material, the contractor must have an NRC license. A valid NRC license is required at time of submission of proposal. Military packaging is required. FOB is destination. The approximate issue date will be July 18, 2005 with an approximate response date of August 18, 2005. First Article Test is required. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance wit h FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTIO N: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to p eriodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or pr oposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request sa me by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ria.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information; CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, Point of Contact (optional), Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet. A Section C w/ Additional information pertinent to this solicitation must be requested via email to schmidtl@ria.army.mil.
