Description
The solicitation will be available at http://fedbizopps.gov on or about July 13, 2005. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be issued and telephone requests or fax requests for this solicitation will not be accepted. The National Park Service (NPS), Department of the Interior (DOI), is soliciting bids from construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. The National Park Service requires a firm, fixed-price construction contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of this project to construct approximately 7,154 square feet of new concrete walkways at the Mission San Juan Nature Trail as indicated on the drawings. It includes all related demolition of existing walkways where necessary, and the installation of new base materials where required, reinforcing steel, concrete, finishes, addition of topsoil, site grading, and seeding of all disturbed areas. The project also includes the rehabilitation of approximately 3200 square feet of the existing Nature Trail boardwalk bridges by removing the old pressure treated decking, repairing and stabilizing the exisiting framing, and installing new 'Trex' (or approved equal) recycled decking material on walking surfaces, handrails and benches. Bid Additive to include the construction of an additional 3706 square feet of new concrete walkways inside the compound at Mission San Juan as indicated on the drawings. Bid Additive is dependent on available funds. This project is a lump sum contract and subject to the Davis-Bacon Act. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested parties with the time and date to be announced in the solicitation, section L. The magnitude for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. This project is subject to the Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to large and small businesses alike. The NAICS code for this project is 237990 and the small business size standard is $28.5 million. This procurement is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and is subject to the provision of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 14, Sealed Bidding.
