Description

Rehabilitate Noland House (HS-22) Foundation - This project consists of replacing the foundation on this National Register, two-story, wood frame house located at Harry S Truman National Historic Site, Independence, Missouri. The work consists of: selective tree removal; shoring and lifting the house as required for foundation work; demolition of existing brick masonry foundations, selected areas of the first floor framing, miscellaneous building elements, and a small quantity of asbestos-bearing materials; excavation to install new foundations; installation of new reinforced concrete, concrete block, and brick foundations; installation of new concrete floor slab; installation of foundation waterproofing, and interior and perimeter drainage system; replacement and repair of first floor framing systems; installation of new water, sewer, gas, and electrical supply systems; re-installation of the salvaged mechanical system; and re-landscaping. The house will be unoccupied during the course of the work. Rehabilitate Frank Wallace House (HS-15) Foundation - This project consists of replacing the foundation on this National Register wood frame bungalow located at Harry S Truman National Historic Site, Independence, Missouri. The work consists of: shoring and/or lifting the house as required for foundation work; demolition of existing cast concrete foundations; removal and salvage of basement windows and front porch brick piers and railings for re-incorporation into the new work; excavation to install new foundations; installation of new reinforced concrete foundations; installation of new concrete floor slab; installation of two concrete stoops; installation of brick masonry porch; installation of foundation waterproofing, and interior and perimeter drainage system; installation of a scribed cement stucco exterior foundation surface; repair of first floor framing systems; re-establishment of existing water, sewer, gas, and electrical supply systems; re-landscaping. The house will be unoccupied during the course of the work. The magnitude for this project is between $500,000 and $650,000. Applicable NAICS code is 236220 with a Size Standard of $28.5 million. This project is set-aside and solicited under the Historically Underutilized Business Zone Act of 1997 (HUBZone) using the procedures outlined in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 14 and awarded as a single firm-fixed price contract. All Historically Underutilized Businesses are encouraged to bid on this project. The performance time on this project is 200 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. The solicitation document will be available electronically on or about July 15, 2005. The plans and specifications will be posted electronically. All files are available for downloading in ADOBE ACROBAT PDF FORMAT FROM INTERNET URL http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The Government will hold a Pre-bid Site Visit on or about July 22, 2005.
