- Description
- The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has a requirement to conduct Foreign Comparative Testing (FCT) of the Telemetry Buoy for the Underwater Communication System (TBUCS). TBUCS was selected by the Deputy Undersecretary of Defense, Advanced Systems and Concepts, Office of the Undersecretary of Defense, Acquisition, Technology and Logistics in FY 05 to be included in the FCT program. This communications buoy is expected to facilitate communication between the Underwater Communication System (UCS) and surface and airborne platforms. Due to the need to communicate among multi-national platforms, the system must use the Hydro-Acoustic Information Link (HAIL) System to ensure interoperability. NAVSEA has determined it is in the government's best interest to solicit this effort from Nautronix Maripro, Inc., 15222 Cook Place, Goleta, CA 93117. This is expected to be a three-year effort. See Numbered Note 22.
