Description
NAICS Code: 334516 Personal Protection Containment Enclosure and Stainless Steel Cart For Qiagen BioRobot 8000, Computer and Accessories. This is a combined synopsis/request for quote for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Quotes are being requested and a written RFQ will not be issued. An offeror shall provide a detailed drawing, including dimensions, with its quote. Shipping charges and fee for on-site installation need to be included in price. The NAICS code is 334516. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. The specifications for the Personal Protections Containment Enclosure and Stainless Steel Cart are as follows: Specifications Containment enclosure: - Construction: Work surface shall support, with minimal vibration, a Qiagen, BioRobot 8000 (weight: 300 lb) - Materials: clear material top, sides, front and back. All materials shall be resistant to prolonged contact to liquids, cleaning compounds and procedures. Specifically the protective coatings shall be resistant to the following chemicals: 1% quaternary ammonium hydroxide; 5% formaldehyde; 10% hypochlorite; 2% iodophore, 5% phenol, 70% ethyl alcohol and 27.5% hydrogen peroxide/5.8% peroxyacteic acid. - Interior width: 76" height: 46" depth: 34" - Exterior width: 80" height: 63" (without cart) depth: 38" - Permanent front sash access: 8" above enclosure base to 17.5" above enclosure base - Total front sash access: 42" from base to sash hinge (minimum) - Front sash access to robot control tower: 12.5"W x 12"H door in the front sash to provide a 12.5"W x 21"H front access above the robot deck. - Side access door openings: ~18"W x ~ 24"H left side; ~18"W x ~24" H right side. - Ports through back wall or enclosure base o Vacuum lines: 1.5-3" dia. (back wall or base) o Liquid lines: 1.5-3" dia. (back wall or base) o Sensor cables: ~1" dia. or shared with above o Computer cables: 1.5-3" dia. (back wall or base) o Robot power line: ~1.5" dia. or shared with above o Monitor lines: ~1.5" dia. or shared with above o Port through the enclosure base for waste tip disposal: ~3.5"W x ~5.75"D. - Enclosure design should be compatible with future installation of a UV light. Personal protection: - Class I BSC for personal protection when operated at a minimum face velocity of 75 lin.ft./min. - HEPA filter(s) to remove 99.97% of particulates 0.3 ?m diameter or larger. - Filtered air outlet suitable for connection to house exhaust. - Filter fan motor(s) to provide a minimum face velocity of 75 lin.ft./min across the enclosure opening. - The enclosure shall be designed to provide accessibility for filter installation, testing and sealing. The filters shall be mounted to prevent air bypass of the filters and shall be protected with a filter guard to prevent damage to the filter and blockage of exhaust air. - Fan motor shall be rated for continuous operation and shall be variable speed with controls that are located outside the work area. - A wiring diagram showing connection of all electrical components as well as a statement providing starting current, running power and circuit requirements shall be provided with the installation instructions. Stainless steel cart: - Maximum width: 80" - Maximum depth: 38" - Height: 31" - Storage shelf to provide 24" H storage - Pull out drawer for a computer keyboard - Electrical power strip for robot, monitor, etc: 120VAC. Power strips to be mounted to the cart. - Locking castor wheels (minimum of two) Containment enclosure with stainless steel cart: - Maximum height: 94" All items shall be delivered to U.S. EPA, 26 W. MLK Drive, Cincinnati, Ohio 45268, no later than 60 days after award. FOB point shall be destination. The following clauses apply to this request for quote: FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items, and the specific evaluation criteria is as follows: (1) Technical acceptability of the item offered to meet the Government's requirement and (2) Technical acceptability shall be evaluated on a pass or fail basis. Offers shall provide descriptive technical literature in sufficient detail to demonstrate that the items offered meet the minimum requirements specified above; FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations & Certifications- Commercial Items, shall be completed by offeror and submitted with quote, unless the offeror's registered with CCR; FAR 52.212-4, Contract terms & Conditions- Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms & Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items.
