Description

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) intends to execute a contract modification to HDTRA-04-C-0008 with Nuclear Safeguards and Security, LLC (Nucsafe), 765 Emory Valley Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830. The purpose of the modification is to exercise contract options for a prototype neutron/gamma detection system integrated into a vest and a prototype neutron/gamma detection system integrated into the housing of an operational laptop computer. The original contract was awarded under the statutory authority for non-competitive action (10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(2)), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-2, Unusual and compelling urgency and was exempted from being synopsized. This synopsis is issed as a notice of the agency's intent to exercise the contract options.
