- Description
- The National Emergency Training Center (NETC) located in Emmitsburg, MD has a requirement for Professional Armed Security Guard Services. The contractor shall provide armed security guard service coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year with a mandatory requirement that at least one officer/guard per shift holds a current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification. The contractor shall furnish all management, supervision, training, personnel, relief, administrative support and equipment necessary to successfully complete all requirements. The resulting contract will have a Base Year period followed by four (4) one-year option periods. Award of a hybrid (firm-fixed price/labor hour) contract is contemplated. The firm fixed price portion of the contract will be for the regular monthly security services and the labor hour portion will be a fixed hourly rate for Temporary Additional Services (TAS) when required. It is anticipated that the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on or about August 1, 2005, with proposals due 30 days after the release date of the RFP. The RFP will only be provided electronically through FedBizOpps (FBO) web page as discussed below. Interested parties may obtain a copy of the solicitation by accessing the following web page: http://www.eps.gov. Potential offerors who download copies of the solicitation may register at FBO to automatically receive email notification concerning issued amendments to the applicable solicitation. Registration is optional. If you register for the solicitation, you will receive a courtesy email from FBO notifying you of all amendments for the solicitation that will be posted to the website. Registration for the solicitation, however, does not release offerors from the responsibility of checking the solicitation daily for amendments. Potential offerors that do not have the capability to download from FBO, may request, in writing, a diskette containing electronic copies of the solicitation, including attachments, and any amendments. Potential offerors making this request must include in their written requests an adequate justification for not obtaining the solicitation via the Internet. Telephone requests for diskettes will not be accepted. Requests must be emailed to cindy.adams@dhs.gov or faxed to (301) 447-1092. The effective date of this contract will be October 1, 2005. THIS ACQUISITION IS BEING OFFERED FOR COMPETITION LIMITED TO ELIGIBLE 8(A) CONCERNS. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561612 with a size standard of $10.5 million average annual sales or receipts for the preceding three (3) years.
