Description
The US Department of Labor is recruiting to contract with Vocational Rehabiitation Counselors (RCSs) intermittently and part time to work with Federal and Longshore employees in ME, VT and NH who have been injured on the job. RC must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for certificaton: (1) a bacheelor degree from an accredited college or univesity; (2) three years experience as a vocational rehabilitation counselor/case manager of which: (3) at least two years must include experience in workers' compenstion vocational rehabilitaiton counseling. Applicants must have computer skills and secure internet availability. Professional reimbursements will be a minimum of $60/hour. A manadatory training session at your own expense in Boston will be required. Federal employees/contractors are precluded from applying. To apply, applicants must send IN DUPLICATE, an application package consisted of a detailed resume; executed references verifying vocational rehabilitation counselor/vocational rehabilitation case manager experience; and transcripts of earned college/university degrees. The competed and detailed resume must cover all vocatonal rehabilitaiton counseling experience providing direct service with eligible participants in the following areas: (1) using testing and vocational evaluation; (2) using the job market; and (3) providing direct job placmeent services will be considered. The copy of the applicants' transcripts must incude only completed college/university grades, resulting in earned degrees. Applicants will also indicate completed degrees in the detailed resume. OWCP also requires executed/verifying references certifying or attesting to vocational counseling/case manager experience from a supervisor, account or program director. Applicants will also identify these references in the detailed resume. Also required is a signed statement from the applicant attesting that all material submitted for this application are true and correct.
