Description
Z--Tate Topa Tribal School FI&R Project No. 05A01. POC Contracting Issues Richard Zephier, Contracting Officer, at 605/226-7426; Technical Issues Gordon Rosby, Regional Architect, at 605/226-7371. The Base Bid(s) includes: (a) microbial abatement at Bldg 301 – “School”, approx. 1,000 sq. ft., (b) abatement of friable asbestos containing popcorn ceiling texture at Bldg 900301 – “Kindergarten”, approx. 3,600 sq. ft.; (c) abatement of friable asbestos containing popcorn ceiling texture at Bldg 900303 – “Head Start”, approximately 1,300 sq. ft.; (d) abatement of friable asbestos containing popcorn ceiling texture at Bldg 900305 – “Office”, approx. 1,300 sq. ft. Set apart from the base bid are the following “Alternate Bids”: (A-1) abatement of friable asbestos containing popcorn ceiling texture, approximately 4,100 square feet, and abatement of asbestos containing floor material, approximately 40 square feet, at Bldg 900302. Restoration work for the base bid and the alternate bid is by others. This project is federally funded. Davis Bacon wage rates and other federal regulations as well as Tribal Employment Rights Office (TERO) regulations apply. Single combined bids will be received for all portions of the abatement construction work; the successful bidder will be the Single Prime Contractor. Work will be performed in Fort Totten, North Dakota, Benson County. Bidding materials will be available on or after July 20, 2005, at a cost of $50.00 per set, non-refundable. Only cashier’s check or money order acceptable, made payable to the Bureau of Indian Affairs. Bid opening date is September 1, 2005, 3 p.m., CST. Cost range: $50,000 -- $150,000.
