Description
The Administration on Aging (AOA), through the Program Support Center, plans to award a sole source simplified acquisition to Linda Jordan-McFarland. The purpose of this requirement will be to provide technical assistance, grants management, and expert knowledge in the Aging industry, and expertise in the review and analysis of AOA grant applications to determine eligibility of grantees. The grants awarded are generally for complex programs to be administered by applicants, which are new, lack precedent and involve difficulty in defining the scope of work. The Contractor shall propose recommendations for resolving problems not covered by regulations, policies, and procedures; identify "high risk" grantees and initiate appropriate actions to protect government interests. The Contractor shall act as liaison and provide support between AOA and its partners to include 56 State Units on Aging, 655 Area Agencies on Aging and 225 Tribal Organizations for Aging. THE PROPOSED SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION ACTION IS FOR SUPPLIES OR SERVICES FOR WHICH THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SURCE UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302. INTERESTED PERSONS MAY IDENTIFY THEIR INTEREST AND CAPABILITY TO RESOND TO THE REQUIREMENT OR SUBMIT PROPOSALS WITHIN 7 DAYS AFTER THE DATE OF PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE. A DETERMINATION BY THE GOVERNMENT NOT TO COMPETE THIS PROPOSED SIMPILIFIED ACQUISITION BASED UPON RESPONSES TO THIS NOTICE IS SOLELY WITHIN THE DISCRETION OF THE GOVERNMENT. INFORMATION RECEIVED WILL NORMALLY BE CONSIDERED SOLELY FOR THE PURPOSE OF DETERMINING WHETHER TO CONDUCT A COMPETITIVE PROCUREMENT. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO WWW.FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (01-JUL-2005); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE.
