Description

The Government is seeking sources for a Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS)/ Non-Developmental Item (NDI) in-chamber boresight laser and mini laser range finder for the Advanced Sniper Accessory Kit (ASAK). Sniper weapons supported will include the M24 Sniper Weapon System (SWS), M107 Long Range Sniper Rifle (LRSR), and the XM110 Semi-Auto Sniper System (SASS). The M24 and XM110 utilize 7.62 mm NATO ammunition. The M107 utilizes .50 caliber ammunition. The in-chamber boresight lasers will enhance snip er lethality/effectiveness and target acquisition without damaging the sniper weapon and shall be compatible with the above weapons. The mini laser range finder will enhance range-to-target determination. It shall be of minimum size and weight and shall be attachable to the MIL-STD-1913 rail of the M107 and usable in hand-held mode. The Government is seeking vendors to supply either the in-chamber boresights or mini laser range finder or both. Interested offerors should submit a white paper in reference to the information annotated above and addressing product specifications including but not limited to size, weight, reliability, power requirements, laser performance, an estimate of time after receipt of order to deliver five (5) production-representativ e samples, unit cost, and any price breaks at quantity, in hard copy by 1 August 2005 to: Ms. McCoy Klink, telephone (703) 704-0035, fax (703) 704-3449, email mccoy.klink@us.army.mil, 10170 Beach Road, Bldg. 325, Ft Belvoir, VA 22060-5820.
