Description
The purpose of this amendment is to change the date and time offers are due, change the minimum requirements and provide response to questions. Offers are due July 8, 2005 by 12:00 p.m. EDT. The minimum requirement for a 3 liter gas engine is now changed to a minimum 2.5 liter gas engine. The minimum requirement for an AM/FM/SW (short wave) radio/CD player is now changed to a AM/FM/ Radio/CD player. A SW radio is requested if available. The minimum requirement for a protection plate underneath the motor is now changed to requested if available. A high altitude compensator is no longer required. See below for questions and answers. Question: 1) Is there a reason why you have mentioned Nissan X-Terra? - The Nissan X-Terra is made for the US market only, and is not suitable for the African Continent. - There are no spare parts available for this specific model in Swaziland. - The Nissan X-Terra does not comply with the specifications required for this country. Answer: 1) ADF requires an SUV that meets the minimum requirements specified in the synopsis. The Nissan X-Terra is deleted from the original synopsis and is replaced by the Nissan X-Trail as an example of a vehicle that is capable of meeting the requirements. Question: 2) Does the engine have to be petrol engine, or is it possible to quote Diesel? Answer: 2 )A Petrol Engine is the only acceptable engine. Question: 3) Does the vehicle have to be equipped with HAC(high altitude compensator)? As far as I understand, there are no petrol vehicles equipped with this? Answer: 3) HAC is not required. Question: 4) Will an AM/FM Radio/CD-Player be acceptable? Answer: 4) Yes, an AM/FM Radio/CD-Player is acceptable. Question: 5) Is it necessary to include a protection plate underneath the motor? Answer: 5) A Protection plate underneath the motor—if available. Question: 6) Is it for a single vehicle or multiple vehicles? Answer: 6) ADF is requesting one vehicle. Question: 7) We are confuses as the NAICS size for the solicitation is $24.5 Million. Answer: 7) Offerors are to use the NAICS size standard to determine whether it is a large or small business. If the average annual receipts for the last three years is less than $24.5 million, the offeror should certify that it is a small business.
