- The United States Department of Agriculture, Natural Resource Conservation Service, (NRCS) seeks the services of qualified firms to providie the services for 634 ? Manure Transfer. This work will consist of providing design, installation, and checkout of manure conveyance systems in accordance with Conservation Standard No. 634 ? Manure Transfer. Payment will be made at the contract unit price for each component. Manure Transfer components will include: Waste Transfer Pipeline 430EE - Irrigation Water Conveyance, Low-Pressure, Underground, Plastic Pipeline (~14,000 feet) This work will consist of waste transfer pipelines ranging in diameter from 10 to 15 inches in diameter, including appurtenances, for the conveyance of irrigation water, in accordance with Conservation Practice Standard?s and Specification?s No. 634 Waste Transfer and No. 430EE, Irrigation Water Conveyance, Low Pressure Underground Plastic Pipeline. Irrigation pipelines are the mainlines and laterals for the irrigation system, with appurtenances to include valves. The lengths of irrigation pipelines are estimated to range up to 4,000 feet for one irrigation system. Materials for irrigation pipelines are expected to be Polyvinyl Chloride PVC), where soil conditions allow trenching and pipe burial. Payment will be made at the contract unit price for one irrigation pipeline system. Approximately 14,000 feet of pipeline will be needed. 447 - Irrigation System, Tailwater Recovery This work will consist of tailwater recovery systems, including appurtenances, in accordance with Conservation Practice Standard 634 Manure Transfer and Conservation Practice Standard and Specification No. 447- Irrigation System, Tailwater Recovery. Approximately 4 tailwater recovery systems will be needed to conserve water on ~ 280 acres. Payment will be made at the contract unit price for all work except listed components. Components will be made at their contract unit price. 533 ? Pumping Plant This work will consist of pumping facility with appurtenances for the transfer of manure water in the Tailwater Return System, which is designed under Conservation Practice Standard and Specification No?s. 634 and 447. The anticipated dynamic head may be up to 50 feet of head. Payment will be made at the contract unit price for each pumping plant. Approximately 3 pumping plants will be needed. Flow meter This work will consist of electromagnectic flow meters to measure the flow of manure water. Flow meters will be designed and installed according to manufacturer?s specifications. Approximately 3 flow meters will be needed. This is small business set-aside,size standard $6M. Firms interested in providing these services are to submit three copies of completed Form 1449, to the Contracting Officer at the address shown in this announcement by 2:30 pm., local time, July 25, 2005, as well as any information that will assist with evaluation factors.
