Spearhead Exhibitions LTD is the organizer of this major forum for ocean scientists, engineers, end users and suppliers, researchers, and policymakers throughout the world to present their latest research results, state-of-the-art technologies, future ideas, and innovative concepts to colleagues across the ocean community. The Oceanology International Conference Committee for 2006 is assembling a world-class global program under the chairmanship of Dr. Richard Spinrad, Assistant Administrator of NOAA?s National Ocean Service This year?s theme, Ocean Technology in Service to Society, will examine the exciting integration and interplay between science, technology, policy, data management, and society. This cutting edge program will include plenary presentations and discussion panels spanning the issues: Ocean Resource Management and Global Stewardship, Natural Hazards, Security and Safety, and Precision Position and Navigation. These themes will provide an unequalled opportunity to think about specific ocean-related issues from the societal perspectives. Notwithstanding the Government?s intent to negotiate this requirement on a sole source basis with Spearhead Exhibitions LTD under the authority of 41 USC 253(c)(1), responsible sources may submit a statement of qualifications which, if timely received, will be considered by NOAA. Responses must be received by July 20, 2005.
