- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 13 with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION: A SEPARATE WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Solicitation number N00181-05-Q-0298 applies and quotations are being requested. The applicable NAICS Code is 333513 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. This requirement is being processed as a Small Business Set Aside. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-27 and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement 1998 Ed. FISC - NNSY Maritime Industrial Branch, Hampton Roads Division anticipates issuing a firm fixed-price contract for the following items: 1) REQN: N0018151220650 - 3 Each - Welding Positioner; Motorized variable speed rotation with forward-reverse switch, speed potentiometer and dynamic braking; the rotation speed is variable from .65 to 8 RPM with pinned tilt variable from 0 to 90 degrees, pinned at 15-degree increments; 8" diameter three jaw chuck and 300 amp welding ground standard; On/off foot switch; All wiring must conform to National Electrical Code Standards; Positioner will operate on 115 volts, single phase, 60 cycle input power; Load capacity - 300 lbs. vertical, 200 lbs. horizontal; Maximum swing radius - 10 inches; spindle thru hole - 2.5 inches; Pandjiris Mini Pro or Equal. 2) REQN: N0018151220651 - 4 Each - Welding Positioner; Motorized variable speed rotation with forward-stop-reverse switch, speed potentiometer and dynamic braking; Load capacity - 750 lbs. at 4 eccentricity overhung from face of table, 4 inch eccentricity; Tilt range - 0 through 135 degrees, with power tilt; Rotation torque - 3,000 pounds; Rotational motor size - 1/2 HP D.C. motor; Rotation Speed - variable from .19 to 5.8 RPM; Table height 28 inches; Table size - 18 inch diameter with 4 T-slots 7/16 inch wide for 3/8 inch T-nuts; Pilot hole - 1.5 inch diameter x 3/8 inch deep; Electricals - 115 volts, single phase, 60 cycle; hand pendant 115 volt, single phase, 60 cycle; forward-stop-reverse-fast buttons, speed potentiometer on 25 foot of cable, foot switch, fast-slow with compatible plug, and have a welding ground; All wiring must conform to National Electric Code Standards; Pandjiris Model 7.5-4 or equal. 3) REQN: N0018151220652 - 2 Each - Welding Positioner; Motorized variable speed rotation with forward-stop-reverse switch, speed potentiometer and dynamic braking; Load capacity - 1,250 lbs., 5 inch overhung from face of table, 2,500 lbs. 5 inch eccentricity; Tilt Range - pinned tilt 0 to 90 degrees, pinned at 15 degree increments; Swing Radius - 28" at 90 degree tilt; Rotation torque - 6,250 inch pounds; Rotational motor size - 1/2 H.P. DC motor; Rotation speed - variable 0.15 to 3.0 RPM; Table size - 24" round table; Electrical - Wiring must conform to National Electrical Code Standards and operates on 115 volts, Single phase, 60 cycle input power, draws 10 amps, Foot switch, Fast-slow with compatible plug and have welding ground. Pandjiris Model Beta 12.5-5 or equal. 4) REQN: N0018151220653 - 8 Each - Gripper, Quickset; Cam operated feature include single point cam operation of the jaws that can be positioned for small and large work pieces. Heavy duty construction and a completely enclosed face plate prevents weld flux and weld splatter from imparing the operation of the gripper; Holding Capacity - 1" to 16 1/2" (outside clamping diameter); Holding Capacity - 6 1/4" to 20" (inside clamping diameter); Chuck Jaws - Hardened Jaws Set of 3 (Model HE); Chuck Adjustment - Single point screw/ball lock pin; Chuck Adjusting Force - 1,300 in-lb. (max. allowed); Jaws Attachment - Reversible, Quickset Ball Lock Pin; Mounting Holes - (3) for 1/2" Socket Head Cap Screw on 15 3/8" B.C.D.; Mounting Plate for mounting gripper to positioner. Quickset Gripper Pandjiris Model TJ-20 or equal. 5) REQN: N0018151220654 - 8 Each - Outboard Support Stand; 1,500 lb. Capacity; 2" x 5" diameter rubber rollers are vertically adjustable 9" from a 18 3/16" minimum height using an ACME screw and nut arrangement; Wheels are adjustable in three positions to support 1" to 48" diameter workpieces; 18" round base for a stable platform; The outboard support stand provides an ideal way to support long overhung pipes being rotated by positioner. Pandjiris Model OS-15 or equal. Delivery shall be FOB Destination: Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000 on or before 25 September 2005. Inspection/acceptance at destination.
