- NASA/KSC plans to issue a Sole-Source Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a Growth Chamber. NASA/KSC intends to negotiate a contract with Environmental Growth Chambers, of Chagrin Falls, Ohio. This is a sole-source procurement under the authority of FAR 13.501. Environmental Growth Chamber is the only known responsible source that can supply the growth chambers that meets the Governments specific requirements. This Growth Chamber will ensure compatibility with the existing hardware in the Central Control and Monitoring System. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procurement (SAP). This notice of intent is not a request for quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing by mail, fax, or email to Ms Regina Clifton not later than 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Friday, July 8, 2005.
