- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.603, as supplemented with the information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement, number FA4427-05-Q-0036, is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-03 and Defense DCN 20050524. This solicitation/acquisition will be unrestricted. The Federal Supply Class (FSC) is 7125. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 3315. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 331222. The associated small business size standard is 1000 employees. This RFQ consists of the following items: Item 0001: One hundred fifteen (115) each Wire lockers, two-tiered, twenty four inches wide by thirty six inches deep by seventy two inches high (24 x 36 x 72), making two hundred thirty (230) individual storage spaces. Wire security cage, four sided with ceiling and thirty six inch wide by eighty four inch high sliding door (36 x 84). Two inch by two inch (2 x 2) square tube posts with two inch by six inch (2 x 6) footplates on large cages. All cages to have two inch by two inch (2 x 2) welded ten-gauge wire mesh. Cage panels to be framed in one and one quarter inch by one and one quarter inch (1.25 x 1.25) twelve gauge steel angle. Finished with heavy duty rust resistant powder coat. Item 0002: Labor to install Item 0001. Please note this information concerning the layout. The existing outer cage will house all the lockers. To trace the floorplan of the outer cage, which is an L-shape, follow these instructions: the far right wall is thirty two (32) feet; turning ninety (90) degrees to the left, the bottom wall is forty six (46) feet; turning ninety (90) degrees toward the top, the far left wall is forty (40) feet; turning ninety (90) degrees to the right, the topmost wall is twenty five (25) feet; turning ninety (90) degrees toward the bottom, there is a wall of eight (8) feet; and turning ninety (90) degrees to the right, there is a wall of twenty one (21) feet. This last wall of twenty one (21) feet meets the far right wall of thirty two (32) feet at a right angle. Furthermore, there is to be a cage enclosure erected within the existing outer cage. This enclosure will be located at the bottom right corner of the floorplan and will require two walls and a cage ceiling. The enclosure will measure twenty one (21) feet long by fifteen (15) feet wide by eight (8) feet tall. In the middle of the fifteen (15) foot wall will be a sliding door which measures three (3) feet wide by eight (8) feet high. The mezzanine floor is a composite material and not concrete. Items shall be delivered to FOB point Travis AFB, CA (zip code 94535) no later than 30 days after receipt of order. The following provisions and/or clauses apply to this acquisition.
