Description
Market Survey Oil Management System for U.S. Army Tactical Vehicles The Project Manager for Tactical Vehicles (PM TV) located at the U. S. Army Tank- automotive and Armaments Command, In Warren MI is seeking to identify sources that are capable of extending engine oil drain intervals and eliminating oil disposal for use on the fleet of United States Army Tactical Vehicles, for Heavy, Medium, and Light cargo capacity truck classes. Such a device is needed in the theater of operations where service and maintenance of vehicles cannot always take place as scheduled. The device should require low maintenance, be serviceable at the unit level, and have its own oil make up reservoir insure that in the event that the make up oil runs out, that the oil in the crankcase is not depleted. The oil management system should require little or no modification to the application vehicle and should not have a significant effect on engine emissions as well as not adversely affect vehicle reliability or maintainability. The item should be product ion ready or require only slight adaptation of a current commercial or military product to meet an aggressive acquisition schedule. Items are being considered for use in the current theater of U.S. military operations and must be non-developmental, produc tion ready and capable of being purchased produced and installed rapidly on approximately 10,000 vehicles in-theater within the next 6-12 months. The item should be ready for immediate demonstration on military vehicles. Does your company currently produce a product for military or commercial application meeting the description above? 2. If you answered yes to the above question, what product(s) do you produce? Please provide a detailed description. Please provide any pamphlets, brochures, pictures, or literature with regard to the above mentioned equipment in electronic format. Is t here any technical data, including installation, operation, and maintenance, that describes the capability that can be verified by field experience, commercial testing, or been tested by or demonstrated to the U.S. Army or other military organizations? Is the anticipated purchase price of the item under $1,000.00 per vehicle for hardware and installation 3. Is your company working on any emerging technologies or have any existing products that will advance the Armys current capability for oil management that extends maintenance intervals?
