Description

The Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), Center for Veterinary Biologics Laboratory in Ames, Iowa intends to acquire laundry services. The Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all equipment, labor, transportation, supplies, etc. necessary to perform laundry services at VS, CVBL located in Ames, Iowa. Laundry services to begin on or about October 1, 2005. The Contractor will be required to wash, dry, and fold laundry. The amount of washing, drying and folding will vary each week depending on the quantity of items turned in each day. Deliveries and pickup are requested between 7:00 and 10:00 a.m. on each delivery day of the week. Estimated average usage per week is 353 lbs. dry fold and 456 lbs. of flat press. Payment will be made in arrears. This procurement is set aside 100% for a small business. Contract period is October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006, with the 4 one-year renewal options to extend the effective period. Not to exceed five (5) years. A single award is anticipated. This is firm fixed price contract. The solicitation, #44-M-APHIS-05, is to be affixed to all documents submitted in reference to this requirement. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Paper copies of the RFP and/or amendments will not be issued. The solicitation and the specifications will be made available electronically at this website only. All changes to the pre-solicitation notice, solicitation and any attachments shall be posted to the website at: www.FedBizOpps.gov. NOTIFICATIONS WILL NOT BE SENT TO OFFEROR REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF THE SOLICITATION NOR ANY OF ITS AMENDMENTS. IT IS THE OFFEROR?S RESPONSIBILITY TO CHECK THIS WEB SITE PERDIOCIALLY FOR UPDATES. The offeror must submit a street mailing address and an email address (if available) in all correspondence in reference to this requirement.
