Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-04 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 20050621. This acquisition is a Brand Name Small Business Set-Aside. Brand Name Justification: This is the only known brand name that meets the Government?s requirements. This punch machine will be a replacement of an existing punch machine, same brand. This brand will utilize the same tooling and maintenance procedures already in place for the existing punch. It is imperative to maintain conformity for maintenance, interchangeability of tooling and parts, and also little or no training is required. NAICS is 333513 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. Solicitation is for commercial purchase of: QTY Manufacturer, Item (1) Trumpf, Trumatic 2010R Punch Machine (1) Removal of existing Punch Machine Description: Punching technology in a 4' x 4' format at fast hit rates and high accelerations. The standard TC 2010 R features a compact footprint and standard brush tables. Short tool changeovers for producing prototypes as well as for small and medium production runs. Punching Force: 20 Tons, Max. Simultaneous X/Y Speed: 4300 inch/min., Max. Stroke Rate (Punching): 900/min. (2200/min marking), 360 Degree Tool Rotation: 3 rotations/sec., Max. Sheet Thickness: 0.25 inch, Tool Stations: 10 (100 with Multitool) and 2 clamps, Working Range (X, Y): 50 inch x 50 inch STATEMENT OF WORK - TRUMPF 2010R PUNCH MACHINE Contractor Responsibility: The contractor shall be responsible to remove the existing equipment/machinery prior to installation of new. The existing machine is a Trumpf 240R punch machine, S/N 6039. This shall include disconnecting, dismantling and moving equipment out of Government facilities, loading onto flat bed truck/trailers and delivering equipment/machinery to DRMO Headquarters located at Bldg. 226, Boll Avenue, MCLB, Barstow, CA 92311. The government shall process all required paperwork to allow for expeditious turn-in of equipment at delivery destination. Removal will require prior coordination with customer in order to obtain necessary access to Edwards AFB, hangars, and shop area as well as prior coordination with DRMO for turn-in of equipment. The contractor shall be responsible for off load of equipment and placement into shop area including all connections at existing building utilities, connections to the new machinery/equipment and all work in between, including required conversions (voltage, amperage, air pressure, and water) to make the utilities compatible for a complete and usable turn-key piece of machinery/equipment. The contractor shall be completely familiar with the manufacturers recommended methods of installation and shall be responsible for extending all required utilities from existing building systems to new piece of machinery/equipment Delivery and installation will require prior coordination with customer in order to obtain necessary access to hangars, machine shop areas and also for AFB visitor passes. Field Verification: Any and all dimensions supplied by the government, are approximate and all required utilities need to be field verified by the contractor prior to beginning installation of machinery/equipment. Quality Assurance: For machinery/equipment installation, the contractor shall employ only those personnel who are thoroughly trained, are experienced with the skills involved and are completely familiar with the manufacturers recommended methods of installation. The contractor shall comply with industry, trade and federal standards, except when more restrictive tolerance or specified requirements indicate more rigid standards or more precise workmanship. Place of delivery, performance, and acceptance is FOB Destination, Edwards AFB, CA 93524.
