Description

This is a solicitation for a Sources Sought and quote. The USAF Academy intends to purchase a name brand or equal, Directed Energy, Inc model PCX-7410 High speed Laser Diode Driver. The laser diode driver system is designed to provide very high-speed pulses at high currents capable of switching a diode on and off in less than 50ns at repetition rates up to 1 MHz. This system will combine with our existing laser diodes and allow us to perform Airborne Laser Target Board tests in support of Air force defensive weapons systems programs. System should consist of the following: Pulse output user selectable in positive or negative configuration Output current per pulse of up to 10A with user selectable ranges as low a 1A Pulse widths as low as 50 ns with rise time of <30 ns Pulse repetition rates of 2 Hz to 100 kHz using the internal clock Pulse repetition rates as high as 1 MHz when externally triggered via TTL pulse Frequency accuracy of 25 ppm Current and Sync monitoring available via BNC front panel connectors Bias currents as high as 5 A RS 232 and GPIB interfaces Onboard memory of up to five preset configurations Runs on standard wall voltages from 90 ? 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz Delivery is FOB destination to USAF Academy CO 80840.
