Description

The principal components of the work under this solicitation include the following: (a) Sitework - structure removal; pipe trench earthwork; furnishing and installing PVC pipe; constructing flood channels and roads; providing riprap for erosion; (b) Concrete - constructing thrust blocks for pipeline, furnishing and installing valve vaults, constructing flood channel structures and lining; and furnishing and placing soil cement for flood channel drop structures; (c) Metals - furnishing and installing miscellaneous metalwork; furnishing and installing new steel piping; (d) Finishes - applying coatings to pipe fittings, valves, tanks and other miscellaneous items; (e) Equipment - furnishing and installing valves and equipment for pressure reducing stations and line pipe installations; (f) Special construction - providing cathodic protection system for steel fittings; constructing steel regulating tanks; furnishing and installing flow meters and fertilizer injection systems; (g) Mechanical - removing and reinstalling mechanical equipment; furnishing and installing ventilating systems; and (h) Electrical - furnishing and installing power, fiber-optic and telemetry cable. All responsible sources that are registered with the Central Contractor Registration agency at www.ccr.gov, may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. This acquision is NOT Set-Aside for small business and is a FULL and OPEN competive Sealed Bid action. Product and Service code is Y245 - Construction Water Supply, NAICS code is 237110 - Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction, Size Standard is $28.5 mil. Project range is between $10,000.000 and $25,000,000. Solicitation documents will be available on or about July 22, 2005. Bids are due on August 23, 2005, at 2:00pm., at the Bureau of Reclamation, Phoenix Area Office, 2222 W Dunlap Ave. Phoenix, Arizona 85021-2801. Bidders may request solicitation documents by calling the contract specialist at (602) 216-3890, by E-mail tchristensen@lc.usbr.gov, or by submitting written requests to the Bureau of Reclamation, Phoenix Area Office, Attention: PXAO-8011, P.O. Box 80169, Phoenix, Arizona 85069-1169. There is a fee of $150.00, non refundable, for the solicitation documents.
