- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate a Small Business Set-Aside contract for the acquisition of Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) convection-type curing oven. The requesting authority for the convection-type curing oven is in support of the P2 Program at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE). The Wisconsin Oven p/n SWT-10208-G convection-type curing oven, or equivalent, shall be a batch style oven with double doors at each end designed for an operating temperature of 130 to 500oF. Specifically, the unit shall be used for the curing of thermosetting powder coatings. This requirement shall be fulfilled by supplying ?commercial items? as defined in Section 2.101 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The unit shall incorporate the features described below: Facility Interface Requirements: Overall Dimensions: Approximately 14?6? wide x 26?8? high x 14?3? deep Power Requirements: 460 V, 50 Hz, 3 phase Propane Gas Requirements: 1200 CFH (cubic feet per hour) service at 8? w.c.p. at burner required. Activity will supply propane to satisfy estimated consumption of 13 gallons/hr @ 91,500 btu/gallon. Note that the intended location for the oven is at an elevation of 213? above sea level. Installation/Space Requirements: All pieces of the unit shall be designed to fit through a 12? wide x 14? high opening prior to assembly. Complete reassembly instructions, including field wiring diagrams, shall accompany every oven. Additionally, all parts necessary to reassemble the oven to final operating condition shall be supplied by the contractor. This includes all wiring, wiring run material (conduit, hangars) junction boxes, seals, belts, etc. The convection-type curing oven will be procured using the Standard Form 1449, Solicitation/Contract/Order for Commercial Items, which includes a Statement of Work (SOW), and Contractual Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) for data item deliverables. Award will be made based upon Best Value, Technical, Price and Past Performance(included in the Best Value determination). The convection-type curing oven units are to be procured as Non-Developmental Items (NDIs) and/or Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) items. The total inventory objective will be procured under a Firm Fixed Price Contract. All contractors seeking award must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database.
