Description

Snow Removal Services, U.S. Customs Cargo Inspection Facility, 2810 West Fort Street, Detroit, MI 48216. The contractor will provide the management, supervision, manpower, equipemtn (including heavy equipemtn and snow shovels) and supplies necessary to provide plowing and removal of snow and ice from roadways, parking areas, inspection booths (Booths #1 - #7 ONLY - all other booths are covered under another contract) and drive-up approaches. Potential offerors are encouraged to inspect the site of performance to satisfy themselves regarding general and local conditions. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561720 with size standard of $14 million. This procurement is set-aside for small business concerns. The Request for Proposal will be issued on or about April 13, 2005. Specification and detailed requirements will be furnished with the solicitation and will be available via Federal Technical Data System (FedTeDS) to all interested parties. Those interested may gain access to FedTeDS by first registering with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov (you must have a valid DUNS number issued by Dun & Bradstreet to register). Contractors will obtain a CCR PIN and CAGE Code after registering successfully. After registration in CCR, please visit the FedTeDS website at http://www.fedteds.gov, click on the Register with FedTeDS hyperlink, click on the Vendor Registration Form hyperlink towards the bottomof the page. There, contractors are required to enter the CCR PIN and CAGE code or DUNS number to receive a username and password for FedTeDS. Mail, facsimile, telephonic or electronic mail requests will not be honored. Also, beginning, January 1, 2005, as required by the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) all vendors will be required to use the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) in federal solicitations as part pf the proposal submission. You may access ORCA via the following URL, www.orca.bpn.gov. Potential offerors should refer to the solicitation package regarding instructions involved the use of ORCA. Any questions regading this notification should be directed to the Contracting Officer whose name appears herein. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and monitoring the website for amendments, if any, to the solicitation. Bid and performance bonds will be required. All responsive offers from responsible small business offerors will be considered. Small Disadvantaged, Women-Owned, HUBZone, Veteran-Owned and Disabled-Veteran Owned businesses are encouraged to submit proposals.
