- NOTICE OF INTENT. The purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the Air Force’s intent to award a sole source follow-on contract for sustainment and continuation of development of the Depot Maintenance Consolidated Operational Database (DM CODB) Program (DSD Q302). Period of performance is 1 September 2005 – 31 July 2006 with two 12-month option periods. The contractor will also be responsible for the integration of modernized DM systems data into the Depot Maintenance Corporate Model, continuation of design of the logical data model, continuation of design of the physical data model, data conversion and load of legacy system data to populate the DM CODB, design/test/implementation of inbound and outbound interface mechanism and software, construction of the depot maintenance consolidated operational database, configuration management of the design and implementation, maintenance and support of DM CODB, technical support to the data office, and enterprise integration of depot maintenance data. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), the Government plans on awarding a sole source contract to LOGTEC, Inc., 2900 Presidential Drive, Suite 130, Fairborn, OH 45324 to continue the development and maintenance efforts described above. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for either the effort or associated costs to respond, or for the information provided. This synopsis does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP). This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. All interested sources must respond in writing with clear and convincing evidence to support their ability to provide the capability within fifteen (15) days of this publication. A determination by the government not to compete this action based on responses received is solely with the discretion of the government. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. Responses are to be submitted no later than July 22, 2005. An acquisition Ombudsman, Lt Col Charles Brackenhoff, DFSG/PK has been appointed to hear concerns from the contractor. You should only contact the Ombudsman with issues or problems you cannot satisfactorily resolve with the contracting officer. The Ombudsman’s role is to hear concerns, issues, and recommendations and communicate these to the appropriate government personnel. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. The Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality if desired.
