Description: C2A1 CANISTER SOL W52H09-05-R-0142 DESC: 4240-01-361-1319 Part Number MIL-PRF-51560, The item to procure is a C2A1 Canister. The C2A1 canister consists of a gas and particulate filter that removes chemical and biological agents and radioactive particles. It is used across the military ser vices and provides the sole filtration device for the NBC protective masks, including the M40A1 M42A2, M45, M48 and MCU-2 series protective masks. This solicitation is issued as a five year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity acquisition with a guaranteed minimum quantity of 500,000 each C2A1 Canister. Planned release date of the solicitation is 4 Feb 2005. The Government may order up to a maxi mum of quantity of 12,000,000 each C2A1 Canisters over the life of the contract. The C2A1 estimated requirements over the 5-year period are 4,165,200 each. First Article Testing is required, but may be waived. All or part of this action is currently unf unded. The solicitation is unrestricted and will result in a firm fixed price contract. This is a Best Value procurement, and past performance and technical factors will be evaluated along with price. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: tacom-ri-tdp@ri a.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information; CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, Point of Contact (optional), Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Telephone Number. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicit ation has been released to the internet.
