Description: Red River Army Depot (RRAD) intends to issue a solicitation in a supply type contract for Prescription Safety Eyewear and accessories; lenses, frames, complete with carrying case, safety side shields, clamp type nose pads, left and right sided nose p ads, screw type nose pads, snap-in nose pads, bridges, hinge screws and tube eye wire, etc. Safety eyewear and accessories shall be provided in strict accordance with American National Standards Institute, Inc. (ANSI) Z87.1-2003. Prescriptions will be fill ed on a weekly basis. Lenses shall be filled as specified by the prescription. Estimated quantity - 695 pair annually. Bid samples are required to determine/ establish whether the products meet the requirements. Drop Ball test will be performed to determin e if the lenses meet required safety requirements. The complete Solicitation W911RQ-05-T-0237 will issue on or about 18 July 2005. This solicitation will result in a supply contract and shall cover a five (5) year period; one (1) base year with four (4) o ptions to extend in twelve (12) month periods. Award will be made to one (1) vendor only. Multiple awards will not be considered. You are hereby notified that Red River Army Depot intends to post the contract award document, including unit prices, to publi cly available internet sites. Accordingly, we consider any right of notification of our intention to release unit prices pursuant to Executive Order 12600 (June 23, 1987)(Pre-Disclosure Notification Procedures for Confidential Commercial Information) to be waived unless the Contracting Officer is notified of your objection to such posting before the time noted for closing.
