Description
**MODIFICATION OF PREVIOSLY ANNOUNCED PROCUREMENT ACTION: Solicitation Number N1574050117, Reconstruct West Yellowstone Entrance Station, Gallatin County, MT. **PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The National Park Service requires a firm, fixed-price construction contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to perform the operations and tasks required for the successful completion of the above named project. Work includes, but is not limited to: constructing new vehicle kiosks, moving the historic canopy to protect these kiosks, constructing additional lanes including an automated vehicle identification lane and constructing the administration building for this facility. The West Entrance is adjacent to West Yellowstone, Montana, and the new entrance station will be located approximately 1500 LF inside the park to allow for additional vehicle queuing. Work on this project must be scheduled to avoid conflicts with visitors and park operations. The new administration building site may be accessed year round after completion of the administrative route to the back of this building. The remainder of the site is not accessible during the winter season (mid November thru mid March) except by snowmobile. The project has been designed to meet a LEED certification level of certified. THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION HAS BEEN REVISED FROM PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE DATED JUNE 22, 2005. REVIEW AND NOTE ADDITIONS AND CHANGES. If a subject from the prior announcement is not addressed below the information remains unchanged. **SITE VISIT: An organized and guided site visit will NOT be conducted. Offerors are, however, urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. The clauses at 52.236-2, Differing Site Conditions, and 52.236-3, Site Investigations and Conditions Affecting the Work, will be included in any contract awarded as a result of this solicitation. The site is open to public access and may be visited during normal hours of park operation. **SOLICITATION SUMMARY AND AVAILABILITY: The estimated price range for this contract is between $2,000,000 and $2,500,000. This RFP is a negotiated, "Best Value" procurement (reference FAR Subpart 15, Contracting by Negotiation) requiring submission of both a technical and a price proposal. Proposals will be evaluated for merit against the factors set forth in Section M of the Request for Price (RFP). Review the solicitation document carefully to ensure that your proposal appropriately addresses the evaluation factors listed.
