- Notice of Intent to award Sole Source Procurement under FAR Part 12.203 and FAR Part 13.5 to RONAN ENGINEERING to provide all labor parts, tools, materials, and transportation necessary to provide replacement parts for 200 missile sites to include the following three items: (1) Ten 3-prong Probe Magnetostrictives, Ronan Engineering Part No. FEW402, that have a transducer that is surrounded by an aluminum hoising. A guide tube and product sensor (nytrophyl float), which measures fuel and water levels. The probes operate on magnetostrictive wires. (2) Ten Ronan Printers, Ronan Engineering Part No. FEWC331, that are electronic impact printers for the Ronan Diesel Tank Monitor Units which show the amount of diesel still in the tank. These printers are similar to that of a small calculator and uses 2-inch wide paper ribbon. (3) Ten Topside Annunciators, Ronan Part No. FEWETM-RA-4X, that is an alarm system used to indicate a low level of water. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii), the Government will award directly to Ronan Engineering. The determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. This notice is for information only. It is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation for offers. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. All interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements. Any response to this notice must show clear and concise evidence that the competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. Determination for future proposals will be determined for future procurements.
