Description

The United States Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with MRAG Americas, 110 S. Hoover Boulevard, Tampa, Florida 33609 for follow-on services to modify and maintain the NERO Days-At-Sea (DAS) Electronic Database System. MRAG developed the original software program for the DAS System and are therefore uniquely qualified to provide system modification without program delays. The contractor shall modify the current software program to incorporate required changes, and provide software training support to NERO staff. The applicable NAICS code is 541512, and the size standard is $21.0 million. The statutory authority for Other than Full and Open Competition is 41 U.S.C.(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within fifteen days after publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to comptete this proposed requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Informatoin received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Evidence must be provided of ability to provide required services. The solicitation, notice and all amendments will be posted and available for viewing and downloading on the Government Electronic Posting System (FedBizOps) site at www.fedbizops/. No paper copy will be issued. No telephone, fax or written requests will be accepted. When the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any documents. The solicitatin will be issued under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, in accordance with FAR Subpart 13 on or about July 11, 2005. Offerors must have a valid DUNS number and be registred in the Central Contractor Registration Database (CCR).
