- Purpose: This contract is to provide for roadside brushing and road maintenance of forest roads on the Cowlitz Valley Ranger District, Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Lewis and Skamania Counties. All cutting of roadway vegetation will be done by mechanical brushing equipment. All vegetation cut will be disposed as required within seven days after it?s been cut. Location: 21 road - From Randle head East on hwy 12 to Johnson Cr. approx MP 128 23 & 25 roads. From Randle head South on state hwy 131, 25 forks off the 131, and 131 turns into 2399 road - Follow the 25 road south approx 19 miles to jct of 99. Government Estimate is between $100,000 and $250,000. Contracting Officer: Mr. Miley Sutherland 360 956-2471 100% Set-Aside for Hubzone Small Business Estimated Start Work Date: July 2005 through November 2006 Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov//. Please note this solicitation contains unusual requirements. ?The Resource Advisory Committee for the South Zone, which requires us to show economic benefit to the local community, funds this project. ? Along with that, some record keeping is required. Please read the evaluation requirements carefully. This project is 100% set-aside for HubZone small business concerns. Both HubZone and non-HubZone firms are encouraged to submit pricing for this project. In the event that there are no offers received from HubZone firms or all offers received from HubZone firms are more than 20 percent above the Government Estimate and the Contracting Officer considers their pricing is outside the range considered fair and reasonable, the Contracting Officer may evaluate the non-HubZone firms' bids for award of this contract
