- The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Weather Service (NWS) is in need of contractors that can furnish all the materials, supervision, supplies, and labor necessary to replace two wall hung HVAC units with two 10 ? ton HVAC units, in the following locations, La Crosse, WI; Dodge City, KS; Duluth, MN; Indianapolis, IN; Syracuse, IN; St. Charles, MO; Chanhassen, MN; Negaunee, MI; Boulder, CO; Grand Forks, ND; and Rapid City, SD. DESCRIPTION: At each of the locations listed above the contractor shall furnish all labor and materials to remove and dispose of two existing Bard, exterior wall mounted packaged Heating, Ventilating, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) units and retrofit with two exterior ten-ton ducted, packaged HVAC units on concrete slab(s). Special Precautions: The contractor will be responsible for the scheduling and coordination of work on the site including shut down of the radar, if necessary, during construction. In the event severe weather occurs within the warning area of the work site, all work being performed by the contractor may be halted by the local Meteorologist in Charge (MIC). Work stoppage due to severe weather in the warning area is not negotiable and all work will stop immediately. Any business capable of completing this project is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 15 calendar days after publication of this notice. The NAICS code for this action is 235110. This service is being procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 36, Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts Procedures. The Central Region Acquisitions Division, requires that all contractors doing business with the Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
