Description
CSC Applied Technologies LLC (CSC) contemplates issue of an UNFUNDED Request For Proposal (URFP) for the Repair of Base Pavements ? South Fields Street at Vance AFB, OK as solicitation number URFP082P. Funds are not currently available for this solicitation and have not been promised or guaranteed. There shall be no legal liability on the part of the Government or CSC should funding not be provided. In the absence of funding no contract will result. CSC reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after the closing date in the absence of funding. Offerors will be required to provide for an acceptance period which extends through 31 December 2005. Offers may be privately opened after the closing date to determine apparent low offeror. Result of offers will not be publicly announced unless award of contract should result. Offerors bid bonds will be held for the entire acceptance period should funds not be readily forthcoming. It is recommended that offerors consider this impact on their bonding capacity if an offer is anticipated. The XTLF 02-1014D, Repair of Base Pavements - South Fields Street is a fully designed project consisting of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to remove and reconstruct existing asphalt roads by mill and overlay. Also included is the reconstruction of existing roads using either asphalt or concrete pavement as indicated on the project drawings. All new construction shall include but not to be limited to the construction of storm water drainage systems, concrete curb and gutter, asphalt pavement or concrete pavement constructed over a stabilized aggregate base course. The base course shall be constructed over a lime-stabilized subgrade. Additional items of construction such as reinforcing steel, dowels, tie bars, dowel baskets, materials, concrete placement, concrete finishing, curing, saw cutting, joint preparation, joint seal, pavement markings, edge grading etc. All work shall be accomplished in strict accordance with the plans and specifications. Repair any adjacent pavement that was previously removed to allow for formwork required. Storm drainage system including combination curb inlets, manholes, reinforced concrete storm pipe and modification of existing catch basins. The Contractor shall protect the active electrical power cable and concrete encased duct banks located in the project area. The Contractor shall notify Local Purchasing Office immediately when damage to any existing utility system occurs. The Contractor shall immediately have repaired or replace said damage, by a qualified electrical Contractor in conformance with the latest edition of the National Electric Code, at no increase in contract amount.
