Description

Notice of Contract Action This is a notice of a contract action. The Combat Electronics System Squadron (CESS) is contemplating the issuance delivery order 0001 under Basic Ordering Agreement FA8626-04-G-2070 with: Raytheon Company Goleta, CA 93117-3114 Background: The initial RORI development was started with the completion of a feasibility study in early CY2004 and a subsequent RORI prototype design and development phase in the fall of CY2004. This current effort will culminate with a ground and flight demonstration in late CY2005. Requirements: To Provide continued Design, Development, Integration, and Testing of the non-pyrotechnic Reel Out Reel In (RORI) 1x2 Magazine prototype. This includes system engineering, detailed engineering design, document updates, assembly, safety, quality, logistics, testing for the RORI Magazine to be used in a 1x2 Dual Compatibility Launcher (DCL) on the F15C\E aircraft. Acquisition Environment: The statutory authority, which permits other than full and open competition for this acquisition is 10 United States Code (USC) 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(ii) Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
