Description

Description: The Bureau of Reclamation intends to award sole source procurement to XYZ Scientific Applications, Inc. to obtain a perpetual license and follow-on maintenance/upgrades for the True Grid software package. The True Grid software package, based on market research, has the unique capability of creating and projecting surfaces in a file format that interfaces with analysis packages currently used by the Structural Engineering Group. The software package must have the full capability to write out input files for NIKE3D, DYANA3D, ABACUS STANDARD, and ABACUS EXPLICIT finite analysis codes at a minimum. The software package shall be fully capable of reading topographical data which can then be used to create surfaces, which can then be projected to the finite element mesh. The software shall also have full, documented capability of creating a surface from a mesh surface and then projecting a second mesh face to that surface so that contact surface truly match. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the pending requirements. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition has been prepared in support of this acquisition. Firms believing they can provide similar requirements must provide supporting evidence (procures, product data, etc.), to that effect in sufficient detail to demonstrate the respondent's ability to meet the stated requirement. Do not submit quotations. All responses received within 5 calendar days of the date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted by Fax at (303) 445-6345, Attention: Ann R. Manning, Contract Specialist/Contracting Officer. Responses should include the firm's DUN and Bradstreet number (DUNS) and Tax Identification Number (TIN). Firms should identify themselves as either small business, or other than small business, in accordance with the size standard for (NAICS) Code 511210 which is $21 Million. This notice may represent the only official notice of such a solicitation.
