- DESCRIPTION: This sources sought notice will be used by the Contracting Officer to determine if it is in the government's best interest to exercise the next option of the current contract. This information is intended to assist in acquisition planning and no formal solicitation exists at this time. This is a request for information only and a response is not considered an offer, nor does it commit the government to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of any submission. Interested offerors must submit a brief but complete capability statement that demonstrates the capability to perform these services for an evaluation to this office no later than COB 19 July, 2005. All responses to this sources sought notice shall include company name and address, business size and type, point of contact to include email address and phone number, a cost estimate, as well as previous procurements performed of similar size and complexity. LOCATION: Key West, FL GENERAL: The services to be furnished under this contract include maintenance of multiple boats and related services, port operations, harbor tug services, and waterfront administration in support of NAS Key West, FL. Services shall be provided on a turn key basis with the contractor providing all necessary management expertise, personnel, supplies, tools, equipment and vehicles unless otherwise specified as government furnished equipment. The contractor shall plan, schedule, coordinate and assure effective completion of all services. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: The contractor shall provide harbor tug services to support the activities and/or ship movements in the harbor at NAS Key West. The contractor shall be able to provide the service of two harbor tugs that are at least 2400 HP (single shaft OK) and three harbor tugs that are at least 2400 HP (twin shaft or better). The contractor shall provide port operations services to assist with all official requirements of a ship on port call. The contractor shall provide all hotel and husbandry services necessary for visiting ships. The contractor shall maintain nine Government-furnished security boats, two government furnished pusher boats and seven government furnished oil spill response (OSR) boats.
