- USSOCOM has a potential requirement for commercially available wireless/wired encryption software using AES 256 Algorithm or higher. This is a sources sought notice. There is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This sources sought notice supports market research being conducted by USSOCOM to identify potential, capable sources. Responses from manufacturers choosing to participate will be used by various US Government agencies to evaluate capabilities of various commercial Encrytion Software. Response should be limited to 3 pages. In addition, the responses must include (1) Name and address of the firm; (2) size of business; and (3) ownership, including large, small, small disadvantaged, woman-owned, hub-zone and/or disabled veteran-owned. The commercial Encryption Software should be able to support the following: Wired and wireless communications networks; capability of receiving FIPS 140-2 certification; all 802.xx protocols;capability to support and interoperate with most current operating systems including Windows 2000, XP, WIN CE, and Linux; routing over the Internet; full quality of service; point to point encryption;point to multipoint encryption and multipoint to multipoint encryption; video, voice, data transmissions; HAIPE 1.3.5 compliant with capability of upgrading to HAIPE 3; IPV4 and IPV6; mulitple user authentication of system software (strong password, biometrics, etc.); system notification of encryption failure; low processor power requirements and low latency to support VOIP (software should not increase latency more than 4MS). Software should not hinder the normal range/distance of wireless communications. Software should allow use of virtual private networks. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought notice is strictly voluntary. This notice does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or an Invitation for Bid (IFB), nor does its issuance restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition strategy. The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this notice nor pay for any information that is submitted by respondents.
