- Description
- This notice is issued in advance of a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the purpose of Notification of Contract Action (NOCA) for an upcoming acquisition. The NAVSTAR GPS Joint Program Office intends to extend the current production contract F04701-98-D-0028, for the Miniaturized Airborne GPS Receiver (MAGR) 2000. The MAGR 2000 is a GPS Receiver Application Module (GRAM) based LRU. Two versions of the MAGR 2000 will be procured under this contract including a PPSSM based version and SAASM based version. The MAGR 2000 PPSSM based version shall comply with CI-MAGR-400A and CI-GRAM-400 and shall comply with the latest production configuration being fielded. The MAGR 2000 SAASM-based version shall comply with CI-MAGR-500 and CI-GRAM-500. Funding for SAASM integration is not part of this procurement. 120 stand-alone GRAM-SAASM Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) that will support the NAVSSI shall be a final deliverable and procured separately under this contract. Delivery of the SAASM based GRAM LRUs is set for FY05 through FY08 with a delivery of 40 units per year. The first deliveries will commence 12 months after the order is placed. Ordering shall begin in January 2004 and continue through December 2007. The LRU must be qualified to the current standards and specifications prior to delivery. Intended source is Raytheon Systems Company, El Segundo, CA. Raytheon Systems Company is the sole manufacturer of MAGR 2000s and is the only known company capable of providing the PPSSM and SAASM based GRAM (integrated into a) MAGR 2000 production requirement within the specified time period. Interested parties are invited to submit a Statement of Capabilities (SOC), which includes the following information: a technical description of the PPSSM and SAASM based GRAM, MAGR 2000 sufficient for a government evaluation of the system. Interested offerors must submit SOCs, which clearly show they are qualified to perform this effort.
