- A Request for Proposal will be available for download on or about 20 Jul 2005 at the Alaska District US Army Corps of Engineers Contracting website in electronic format only using electronic bid sets (EBS) at https://ebs.poa.usace.army.mil/Advertised Solicitations.asp. Interested firms must register at the website for this solicitation to receive notification of solicitation updates. The solicitation shall be issued as a Commercial Buy under FAR Part 12. Any resulting contract shall be firm-fixed-price . To receive award contractors must be registered in the CCR at www.ccr.gov. The Alaska District Corps of Engineers intends to solicit proposals for the procurement and installation of a telecommunications system throughout the new Bassett Army Hospital a t Ft Wainwright, Alaska, which is currently under construction. The new hospital will be a 32-bed, multi-story facility, comprised of approximately 269,000 square feet. This notice is applicable to NAICS code 334920. This system is a Premises Distribution system. The facility construction project currently in progress will provide system infrastructure including empty cable trays, empty conduit with pull lines, empty outlet/device boxes and enclosures, equipment space, power, lighting, and HVAC. Vendor shal l be either the system manufacturer or an authorized distributor and service organization for the manufacturer of the proposed system and shall be knowledgeable of system application and design and installation procedures for the system and certified for F iber Optic and Category 6 Copper installations. The project will include elements of project management, design, procurement, installation, quality control, commissioning, documentation, training and warranty support. All products provided under this con tr act, as well as the system solution shall be commercial items (see definition at FAR 2.101) readily available in commercial market place.
