Description
Market survey for direct digital control system for HVAC equipment. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is conducting a market survey to identify sources and to increase competition acquisition opportunities for Direct Digital Control s (DDC) for heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment. This request is only a market survey, not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list. It is for information only and is not a request for proposal (RFP) or announcement of a solicitation. The purpose of this Sources Sought request is to obtain information on software and future upgrades, offering full (100%) compatibility and interoperability with existing system components at Hurlburt Field, Florida. Direct Digital Contr ols for HVAC equipment are required for Military Construction Projects at Hurlburt Field, FL. New DDC systems shall be fully (100%) compatible with the existing base-wide system for Hurlburt Field, which is a Network 8000 System, manufactured by Barber-Co lman/Siebe. This system utilizes a proprietary data interface. Proposed compatible DDC components and software shall function under supervision/control of the existing Network 8000 host without the use of gateways or other translator-type devices. Respo nses offering replacement hosts or additional hosts are not acceptable. Responses are required fourteen (14) days after publication of this notice. Responses should be addressed to: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, ATTN: CESAM-CT-C, P.O. Box 2288, Mobile, AL 36628-0001 and will be directed to Mrs. Mary Ann Sawyer, (251) 441-5592. Firms interested in being considered shall provide manufacturers name, product data and written statement of compatibility. The written statement of compatibility shal l include necessary backup information and support documentation. A list of projects in which proposed DDC components/software have been integrated with an existing Network 8000 host/system shall be provided. List shall include exact location of project and a point of contact with phone numbers. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this synopsis nor return the data provided. The results of this synopsis will be considered to be in effect for a period of one year from the date of publication of this notice.
