Description
The solicitation will be available at http://fedbizopps.gov on or about 7/30/2005. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be issued, telephone and fax request for this solicitation will not be accepted.The National Park Service (NPS), Department of the Interior (DOI), is soliciting bids from construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. The National park Service requires a firm, fixed-price construction contract to furnish all labor, materials, equipment and expertise necessary to perform all operations required for the successful completion of this project to chipseal, crackseal, and restripe park route 13, west half Big Bend National Park. The work of this contract will occur on the west half of Park route 13- a portion of the road from Study Butte to Panther Junction, in Big Bend National Park, Brewster County, Texas. The work involves traffic control, cleaning, crack sealing, chip sealing and re-striping approximately 11 miles of existing aged hot mix asphaltic concrete pavement within the Park. AC-5 with latex additive and TxDOT grade 5 chips are required. Big Bend National Park is approximately 70 miles south of Marathon, Texas. This project is a lump sum contract and submect to the Davis-Bacon Act. A site visit will be scheduled for all interested parties with the time and date to be announced in the solicitation, section L. The magnitude for this project is between $250,000 and $500,000. This project is subject to the Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to large and small businesses alike. The NAICS code for this project is 237310 and the small business size standard is $28.5 million. This procurement is an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and is subject to the provision of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) part 14, Sealed Bidding. Seach by refereing the solicitation number (above), Department of the Interior, National Park Service. All vendors must be registered on the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) at the internet site at http://www.ccr.gov prior to submitting your bid. Responses from prospective bidders shall be submitted in hard copy to the point of contact listed above. Facsimile offers will NOT be accepted.
