Description
NAICS Code: 336212 This is a combined synopsis/request for quote for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Quotes are being requested and a written RFQ will not be issued. Shipping charges need to be included in price. The NAICS code is 336212. The specifications for the 18 Foot Enclosed Trailer is listed below: Amendment #1 (Technical Questions) 18 Foot Enclosed Cargo Trailer I have a few specific questions. My interpretation of the RFQ includes 6 floor mounted tie downs (each with 5000 lb. rating) and an E- track system, which allows other attachments to be used anywhere along the track. Do you want E tack on both the floor and the walls, or only on the walls (including the front wall)? Do you also need wall track on the side access door? Response: Track system should be on the 2 side walls and the front wall of the trailer. The track system should not be on the side door. Regarding the awning, the RFQ indicates the awning should span from the back of the trailer to the side door. Do you mean the rear edge or the front edge of the door (ie do you want the awning to cover the door)? In either case, how far back from the front of the trailer do you want the side door (one foot is the minimum; we can place it anywhere in front of the axles)? Response: The awning should run to the rear edge of the side door. The front edge of the side door should be between 24 and 30 inches from the front of the trailer and it should be a standard size door of approximately 38 inches in width by at least 6 foot high. How many outlets do you want and at what location? Response: Power outlets, three interior and three exterior. Interior outlets: The trailer requires three interior 110/120 20 amp duplex outlets. Two of the interior outlets should be on the passenger side up high off the floor by the flood lights which are located on the exterior of the trailer. The exterior flood lights should be as high on the passenger side of the trailer as possible within approximately 1 foot of the front and back of the trailer. Exterior Outlets: The trailer requires three exterior 110/120 20 amp duplex outlets. Two of the outlets should be located on the passenger side of the trailer below the exterior halogen lights (approximately 1 foot from the front and 1 foot from the rear of the trailer) at floor level (one by each light). The third exterior 110/120 20 amp duplex outlet should be located within approximately one foot of the rear of the trailer on the driver's side. I am not understanding the tie down system, track system or tie rings or both? Are you requesting an E-track or A-track system? Response: Requesting an E-track system Does the trailer really need a 100 amp service? That seems like a lot, could we get by with a 50 amp service. Because then I could provide the shoreline cable, but not with the 100 amp, to much liability. Response: 50 amp service is acceptable. The due date for quote submission remains 07/21/2005.
