Description
DARPA will host an Information Resources Directorate (IRD), Information Technology Services (ITS) Proposers' Day on Monday, August 1, 2005. The focus of the Proposers' Day is to promote discussion of DARPA's anticipated request for proposals for Information Technology Support Services requirements. This will include, but not be limited to: performance based hardware and software deployments, reliable network and security, anytime/anyplace computing, efficient and knowledgeable help desk resources. The goals of this Proposers' Day are twofold: 1) To provide participants with an overview of DARPA's mission and how IRD supports the mission; and 2) to interface with potential offerors and solicit industry suggestions with respect to how to best satisfy DARPA's Information Technology Services needs. Attendees are encouraged to explore strong teaming and business relationships, where deemed appropriate, in order to develop competitive responses to an anticipated forthcoming DARPA Information Technology Services RFP, expected to be released on or about 02 September 2005. Interested parties to this notice are cautioned that nothing herein obligates DARPA or the Government to issue a future RFP, or other such solicitation notice. The Proposers' Day will be held at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, 3701 North Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA. Registration is required by 27 July 2005. Attendance will be limited to the first 200 registrants. Each organization may send up to two representatives. Additional organization attendees will be considered by DARPA at DARPA's sole discretion, if space allows additional organization representation, and if DARPA determines that such additional representation is in the best interest of DARPA. However, DARPA reserves the right to limit organization participation to two individuals each, even if less than 200 total participants register for this Proposers' Day. DARPA will not provide cost reimbursement for attendance. The Proposers' Day will be unclassified and open to all potential qualified sources. Attendance is not required to propose to any potential RFP or other such solicitation on this topic. DARPA will offer two sessions: morning and afternoon. The morning session begins at 8:00 AM. The afternoon session will begin at 1:00 P.M. An agenda will be available at http://www.tfims.darpa.mil/bti/ following registration. Please notify DARPA if you want to at-tend the morning or afternoon session. Note: This is an informal meeting ? business casual (no ties) is acceptable. REGISTRATION INFORMATION: If interested in attending the DARPA Proposers' Day, please register at http://www.tfims.darpa.mil/bti/. Each attendee must register.
