- Description
- The work of this project consists of furnishing all labor, equipment and materials as needed to construct a potable water system at Wildcat Campground, Point Reyes National Seashore, located in Marin County, CA. The project includes the installation of a water supply line between an existing well at Glen Campground and Wildcat Campground with a new water storage tank and treatment system. Work will consist of the removal of an existing hose bib at Wildcat camp; removal of existing water tanks at Glen and Wildcat camps; removal of existing pump in the well at Wildcat camp and destruction of the well. Work will also include the installation of two new 1-1/4" HDPE water pipe lines; new well pump; new 3,000 gallon storage tank and all associated appurtenances; new cartridge filter, chlorination equipment, pressure relief/pressure sustaining stations, electrical controls and wiring; and associated appurtenances as needed to complete a permanent, potable water supply to the Campground. The estimated project range is between $250,000 and $500,000 with all work to be completed within 180 days after issuance of a Notice to Proceed. The project site is located in a designated wilderness area and adjacent to highly sensitive natural resources. A site visit has been scheduled for 10:00am on August 10, 2005. An award selection will be based on quality (i.e., past performance, experience constructing similar projects; working in remote locations with adverse weather; working in environmentally sensitive areas; past safety record/practices) and price. An award may be made without discussions, therefore the initial proposal should contain the offeror's best terms for all items from a cost or price and technical standpoint. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available via electronic commerce only and may be accessed on or before August 1, 2005 at http://www.fedbizopps.gov or directly through the DOI National Business Center website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The due date for receipt of proposals will be 30 days after issuance. The Contractor is responsible for periodically checking the website for any Amendments that may be issued prior to the closing date of the RFP. This acquisition is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which, if timely received, will be considered.
