Description: The U.S. Department of Agriculture proposes to sole source purchase a Gamma-Ray Detector from Advanced Measurement Technology, Inc. of Oak Ridge, TN. This system is needed as an add-on to an existing Gamma Spectroscopy System. This detector is needed to quantify activities of ??? Pb and 7Be in environmental samples (soil, suspended sediment, precipitation, and stream water samples). This system shall be installed/set-up delivery FOB to the USDA, ARS, Oxford, MS. An IFB with complete specification requirements will be issued on or about August 3, 2005 with bids being due at 2:00 p.m. September 2, 2005.
