- THE PROPOSED CONTRACT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS UNDER NAICS CODE 541611. The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is soliciting proposals for a 5-year cost reimbursable contract to provide the services for the project entitled ?General Research and Support for AHRQ.? The purpose of this contract is to provide services to AHRQ components in numerous areas including meeting management and support; the development and preparation of documentation such as writing, editing and reproduction of reports and proceedings; and technical and administrative services such as literature searches, and identification and recruitment of specialized experts. Typical projects include the preparation of bibliographies on various health services research and health policy topics and issues, syntheses of health services research and policy findings and information, and reports from meetings on a variety of health services research topics and activities; and the preparation for and conduct of meetings dealing with the development and dissemination of health services research findings and information and meetings for setting and developing research agendas and priorities; and preparation of reports related to the management and organization of the Agency and preparation for and conduct of meetings related to Agency management matters. Sources must have an understanding of and, preferably, experience in, health services research. Sources must also possess, or be able to obtain (in-house or through subcontracting arrangements), the staff and other resources needed to expeditiously carry out the different types of activities listed above. It is anticipated that one contract will be awarded for a period of 5 years. It is anticipated that award will occur in early FY06. In addition to the solicitation being available on this site, it will also be available for downloading from the internet on AHRQs website at www.ahrq.gov. It is the offerors responsibility to monitor this site for release of the solicitation, download their own copy of the solicitation, and monitor the site for any subsequent amendments. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be evaluated by AHRQ. It is estimated that the solicitation will be issued on or about August 1, 2005, with proposals due 30 days thereafter.
