The pre-solicitation notice for Solicitation No. 05SI101603 is currently available. The work to be performed under this solicitation consists of furnishing, erecting, dismantling, and disposing of temporary fencing; clearing and grubbing; diversion and care of Sorenson Creek during construction; site grading; grading of existing canal to transition into new fishscreen structure; canal reshaping; earthwork for and construction of one concrete fishscreen structure, one 48-inch by 80-foot HDPE pipe, one fish return pipeline, and one turnout; furnishing and placing reinforced concrete fishscreen structure; furnishing and installing fish bypass pipe; furnishing and installing miscellaneous piping and valves for irrigation water delivery; preservation of existing check structure to tie into new fishscreen structure; installation of one rock weir; removing an existing 48-inch by 37-foot CMP and replacing with a new 48-inch by 59-foot CMP; grading and 4-inch gravel surfacing for 1370 foot long access road; furnishing and placing gravel surfacing in yard area; furnishing and installing chain link fencing, two vehicular gates, and one person gate; installing two government-furnished cattleguards; modifying existing fencing with H frames; preparing areas disturbed by construction activities for seeding; furnishing and installing embedded metalwork; furnishing and installing two slide gates with frames; furnishing and installing materials for complete electrical system; furnishing and installing one railroad car bridge with concrete abutments; and coordinating installation of screens and other miscellaneous metalwork by others. The Fogarty Ditch and fishscreen work is located approximately 4 miles southwest of the City of Ellensburg, Washington, along River Bottom Road, in Kittitas County. The solicitation will be issued approximately August 1, 2005, and will only be available for downloading directly from the following website: www.usbr.gov/pn/contracts/construction/1603. Telephone requests for the solicitation will not be accepted.
