- Description
- The U.S. Department of Agriculture is seeking to replace the roof of a greenhouse. The objective of this project is the replacement of the glazing and the accompanying support structure for the roof of an existing greenhouse. The project will consist of replacing the entire roof structure extending from the knee wall. New roof structure shall be installed as close to the original design as permissible. The existing greenhouse consists of 3 bays having a total length of 87’ feet and a total width of 21’ feet. The distance from the finished floor/walkway to the roof ridge/peak is estimated to be 12’-11”. The knee wall height for bays #1 and #2 is 32” inches, with bay #3 having a knee wall height of 28” inches. The existing roof design is a traditional multistrut web truss. This work will be performed at the USDA, ARS, located in Jackson, TN. An IFB with complete specification requirements will be issued on or about May 23, 2005 with all bids being due at 2:00 p.m. June 22, 2005.
