- "MEDAL SET, GLOBAL WAR ON TERRORISM "SERVICE MEDAL, DEPARTMENT OF DEFNSE, CONSISTING OF A REGULAR SIZE MEDAL AND A TYPE II SERVICE RIBBON. NSN: 8455-01-506-7170. Specification: MIL-DTL-3943E. First Article is required after award. Production leadtime 150 days after award. Six deliveries destination: New Cumberland, PA and Phoenix, AZ. Quantity: minimum: 50,000 and maximum: 500,000 for basic order. Two option years are also included. Indefinite Type contract provisions apply. Total Small Business Set Aside. Previous history: Feb. 2004 $1.65 per set, approx quantity 130,000 each. Availability of solicitations, FAR 5.102(d) applies, as our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Offeror should register to receive notification of this solicitation or solicitation amendments. Copies of this solicitation can be found on the DLA Procurement Gateway (Gateway) at http://progate.daps.mil/home after (Estimated Date). From the Gateway homepage, select "Search RFPs" from the left-hand sidebar. Then choose the RFP you wish to view. You must be registered in order to download RFPs. If you are not, you will be directed to register at time of download. In order to ensure e-mail notification of RFPs, prospective vendors MUST go to the RFP Information page and select DSCP Clothing & Textiles as the commodity center from which notices will be sent. The solicitations will be in a downloadable, printable format when viewed with an Adobe Acrobat Reader. Free software is available at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as ?The Berry Amendment?) impose restrictions on the DoD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies. A System for vendors to request specifications, patterns, drawings etc can be retreived from DSCP website. The contractor fills out an on-line form and the request is emailed to the TDR area and stored in a database table.
