Description
The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), Honolulu, HI, intends to procure janitorial services for the facility at the Honolulu International Airport for the period October 1, 2005 through September 30, 2006. Base year, plus one (1) option year. A fixed-price purchase order will result. Small business set-aside under NAICS 561720; Business Size: $12 million. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This synopsis/solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses which are currently in effect. MONDAY, WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAY: Clean the following locations: Inspector?s Office and Training room (squad room), L/A Reading room and K-9 Office. MONDAY AND FRIDAY: Clean baggage G Break Room and Interisland Break Room. ONCE PER WEEK: General maintenance cleaning of sixteen (16) X-ray machines and work area. Cleaning of X-ray machines shall consist of: Dusting, polishing and removal of materials sticking to machines, polishing stainless steel inspection tables and TV monitors; sweeping and cleaning floor areas around machines and roped off areas were officers are stationed. X-ray machines can be cleaned during ?down? time hours throughout the day/evening or after midnight at any time, except the checkpoint at Walkway, where work shall be performed when machines are operational. ONCE PER MONTH: General cleaning of six (6) ceiling fans and six (6) large floor fans in the work areas in the Main Terminal, i.e., cleaning all blades, light and mechanical housing on each fan. TWICE PER WEEK: General maintenance of Checkpoints: cleaning and dusting of chairs, tables, computer monitors and sweeping/vacuuming of floors around the officers? ten (10) work areas at four (4) Checkpoints. SECURITY: The Contractor must have their employees apply and receive an AOA badge for their employee to work in secure areas of the Honolulu International Airport. The Contractor must complete a 10-year background check and pay the required badge and fingerprint fee for each employee.
